I am always on the lookout for great beauty products that help me look my best without having to spend a fortune. I also can’t afford to spend hours in the bathroom/bedroom getting ready. I used to dye my hair every week. This took almost two hours to dye because I had to wait 40 minutes for the my hair to process, then wash it. Not only was this taking up time I didn’t have, I was also getting headaches from the chemicals I was constantly inhaling. I needed to take a break from dying my hair all the time.
Everpro Beauty Gray Away Root Concealer
One day, while I was at Wal-mart, I came across Everpro Beauty Gray Away. Walmart sells them for $8.97 for a 1.5 oz bottle. The first time I tried it, I held the sprayer too close to my scalp and pressed the button too hard so I sprayed too much. I had a big dark splotch on my head. Rubbing it off didn’t work very well. You need shampoo to get this stuff off!
If it’s your first time, hold the sprayer about 4 inches from your scalp and don’t press hard when spraying. It may take a few attempts to get it right but once you get it, you won’t have any problems. I purchased dark brown and it matched my hair color perfectly. Once I got the hang of it, I was able to spray the color on evenly and it was pretty quick too. It literally takes seconds to spray this stuff on. Coverage is great too. A few sprays back and forth is all it took to completely cover the gray.
One thing I didn’t like was how it made my hair feel. The area I sprayed had a slight roughness to it-like I had used hairspray. It didn’t look rough or dry (it was actually bouncy and shiny) but the texture definitely felt different.
Loreal Root Cover Up
The Walmart I shop at sold out of Everpro Beauty Gray Away Root Concealer so I decided to give Loreal Root Cover up a try. For the same price, you get 2.0 oz so you get a little more for your money. I purchased the dark brown.
Coverage wasn’t great. It took more than a few sprays back and forth to cover the gray and I’m not sure I liked the color. I felt like there was a slight difference between my hair color and the spray color.
The area I sprayed felt the same way the Everpro Beauty Gray Away felt-like hairspray. When I say it felt like hairspray, I mean it felt like the light hold hairspray where your hair isn’t stiff but you can feel the product in your hair if you touch it.
Root Concealer sprays are a lifesaver! I have gone from dying my hair every week to dying my hair once a month.
I personally liked Everpro Beauty Gray Away better. Even though you get a little less for your money, you use less because coverage is way better than the other brand. It could be because the Loreal Root Cover up color didn’t match my hair color perfectly.
