Hello!!!! I am a Weight Loss Consultant, FiTOUR Brand Ambassador, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Group Fitness Instructor, and Qualified TRX instructor. I teach fitness classes at a local gym and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what I do. I also have a degree in Science so I have used what I have learned (nutrition) to help people live healthier lives through diet and exercise.
During my early teens, I began to have trouble with my weight. I cut calories but didn’t realize I was consuming the wrong types of food. Simple carbs, foods high in saturated fats, and fatty proteins dominated my diet. I never had the energy to exercise and I snacked all the time resulting in more weight gain, fatigue and mood swings.
Soon after I graduated high school, my weight skyrocketed. I was 40lbs over weight, and tired all the time. I tried losing weight in the past but wasn’t able to so I figured being overweight was my destiny until I saw a photo of myself. My face was so chunky that I couldn’t even see my eyes! People started commenting on my weight and a few asked if I was pregnant! That photo was what really opened my eyes (pun intended) to what was happening to my body. I was 19 but felt like I was 80! I needed to make a change so I took nutrition classes at the University, and immersed myself in learning how to how to live healthier. It took about 6 months but I lost all the weight and have been able to keep it off for 20 years! I am 38 years old but I feel better than I did when I was 19. I want to help others who are going through what I have gone through. I have been there. I know the struggle. IT. IS. HARD. I know there are days when you feel like you aren’t moving forward and you feel like you’re stuck in mud and no matter what you do it seems like you keep sinking in deeper. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to stick with it and push forward.
